TNPSC Group 4 Result 2024, Merit List, Check Cut off

TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2024 was conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission on June 9, 2024. A large number of candidates, estimated to be over 20 lakhs, appeared for the recruitment of 6,244 Group 4 Vacancies such as Junior Assistant, Draftsman, Bill Collector Grade-I, Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Field Surveyor and Steno Typist.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is expected to release the TNPSC Group 4 results in 1st week of September 2024. To check the result, candidates are advised to visit the official website and review their score card and merit list.

TNPSC Group 4 Merit List 2024

The merit list of TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2024 will be published after the declaration of the result. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will prepare a merit list on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written examination.

The TNPSC Group 4 merit list will contain the names of the candidates who have performed well in the written exam; the list will also have their roll numbers and the marks obtained. If you find your name in the merit list, it is certain that you have been selected for the next step, which is document verification. Once the merit list is out, individuals can access it from the official website of TNPSC.

TNPSC Group IV Cut Off Marks

Cut-off marks are the qualifying marks which represent the minimum marks required to qualify for the initial or final stage of the shortlisting process. So candidates must secure the cutoff marks fixed by the commission, then they can proceed to the next stage. The cut-off is usually decided depending on the category of the candidate and varies accordingly. The expected cut-off marks for Open/General category candidates are estimated to be between 231 to 240 marks out of 300.

Process to check TNPSC Group 4 Results 2024

The process to check the TNPSC Group 4 Result is explained below.

• Navigate to the official website: https://www.tnpsc.gov.in.
• On the home tab, navigate to ‘Latest results/Result declaration schedule’ section.
• Now click on the ‘Group IV Services 2024’.
• A PDF version of result will appear consisting the candidates name within in it.
• Click on Download icon and open the merit list.
• Utilize the Search function i.e. press on CTRL+F (for windows)/ Command+F (Mac User) short key.
• Enter the 9-digit registration  no. mentioned on your HALL TICKET and click on Find.
• If your name appears in the merit list it implies you are qualified for the next stage.

Once the results are published a merit list will be published as well. Based on the performance, the merit list will be prepared. Candidates whose name present in the list will be eligible to participate in the document verification, which is the final selection process for Group-4 services.
